Almadén Cabernet Franc Novo

Red Wine made from Cabernet Franc variety grown in our own vineyards located in Campanha Central region. In Brazil, this was a very important variety in the 70’s and 80’s. However much of these vineyards gave place the the plantation of other red varieties, such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. But in Almadén this historical and genetic patrimony is still preserved. Cabernet Franc, when compared to Cabernet Sauvignon has a thinner skin, less acidity, less tannins and higher intensity of aromas. The wines made from this variety always show exactly these features.
